1. What we are aiming at
A course nobody can open is not a course. We want this site to work with a keyboard alone, with a screen reader, at a large text size, and for anyone who cannot use a mouse or cannot rely on colour to tell one thing from another.
The standard we are working toward is WCAG 2.1 Level AA — the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. It is the standard US public institutions generally apply, and it is the one to hold us to.
2. What we have not checked
We are not going to tell you this site conforms, because nobody has checked it.
- No audit has been done. No outside evaluation, no VPAT, no conformance report. WCAG 2.1 AA is our target, not a result we have achieved.
- No testing with assistive technology has been recorded. If you use a screen reader or voice control, what you find is better evidence than anything we could claim here.
- Some parts are not ours to fix. Courses are taught in Canvas and payment happens on Stripe’s own pages. Tell us anyway — a barrier there still stops you, and we would rather raise it with them than have you give up.
- When the first evaluation happens, who does it, and how often it is repeated — [TO BE CONFIRMED]
3. Tell us about a barrier
If anything here stopped you — buying a course, booking a date, reading your grades, reaching support — please tell us. You do not need to know what caused it. A rough description is enough.
Write to support@learnstatistics.org, or use our contact page. If you can, say which page it was, what happened, and what browser or assistive technology you were using.
A person reads every report. We will tell you what we find, and where something cannot be fixed quickly we will offer another way to do it — by email, or with a member of staff. How fast we promise to reply, and what to do if our answer does not satisfy you — [TO BE CONFIRMED]
